Story

Born in Toronto

APRIL 23RD, 1966

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Linda Roberto (nee Edelenbos) of Oakville, Ontario at the early age of 56. Linda died peacefully on December 2, 2022, at home with her family by her side after a hard faught battle with Glioblastoma.

Born April 23, 1966 in Toronto, Ontario to loving parents Gerard and Petronella Edelenbos.

Devoted wife of Joe for 27 years. Adored mother of Eric Alexander.  Much loved sister to Sylvia, Ron and Penny.

Linda loved family and always looked forward to occasions that would bring family together. Whether it be birthdays, Holidays or special occasions.

Linda had a great sense of humour and loved to share funny stories with family and friends.

She was kind, generous and enjoyed making others happy.

Above all, she loved children; whether they were nieces, nephews, or children of friends or neighbours, Linda had time for them and always enjoyed being with them. To many, Linda was considered a second mom.

Linda's happiest day was when her wonderful son Eric came into her life.  There wasn't anyone anywhere on Earth as happy as Linda.  Eric was her pride and joy and she devoted her life to him.  Linda's love and guidance will no doubt follow him on his life journey.

She was a perfectionist, whether at work or at home she put her heart into everything she did.  This could  not have been more evident than in her gardening; to say she had a green thumb would be an understatement. Linda was also a talented artist and had a keen eye for decorating, crafting her house into a home.

Linda loved to travel and believed that creating happy memories with family and friends was more important than almost everything else.

She believed in compassion, equality and the power of kindness and love.

She took a piece of all of us with her.

You will always be remembered Linda Wonderful Roberto.
